Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 27 September 2026

We want every teacher to be able to run our games and every student to be able to take part. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across the site.

What we have built in

  • Keyboard and clicker control: every game can be played without a mouse. Space and the arrow keys (which most presenter clickers send) move the game forward, and each game lists its shortcuts below the board.
  • Screen reader announcements: important changes — a new question, a countdown ending, a winner — are announced without moving focus.
  • Readable on any screen: text scales with the size of the game, Board mode fills the screen, and a Contrast button makes the board easier to read on washed-out projectors.
  • Never color alone: teams always have an animal icon and a name as well as a color, and corners in Four Corners are numbered.
  • Reduced motion: if your device is set to reduce motion, animations, confetti and wheel spins are shortened or switched off.
  • Sound is optional: sound effects are off by default and nothing depends on hearing them.
  • Light and dark themes with text contrast checked in both.

Known limitations

  • The spinning wheel in the Name Picker is drawn as an image. The full list of names is always available in the text box, and the chosen name is shown and announced as text.
  • Movement games such as Four Corners and Silent Ball involve walking or throwing. Each page suggests seated or adapted variations so every student can join in.

Feedback

If anything on the site is hard to use — with a keyboard, a screen reader, switch access, magnification or on your classroom display — please email hello@classroomgames.fun. Tell us the page and what happened, and we will aim to fix it or offer an alternative quickly.
