For Schools & IT Teams

If ClassroomGames is blocked on your school network or Chromebooks, this page explains what to ask your IT team.

Why a new site can be blocked

School web filters sort websites into categories. New websites are often “uncategorized”, and anything with “games” in the name can be caught by a “Games” category even when it is an education site. Asking your IT team to allow the site, or to categorize it as Education, usually fixes it in a day or two.

What to send your IT team

Please allow classroomgames.fun

Hi, could you allow classroomgames.fun (and www.classroomgames.fun) on our web filter? It is a free teacher-run site for projecting whole-class review games and classroom tools (name picker, timer, scoreboard). It has no accounts, no chat, no user-published content, no downloads and no links to other games. Students do not sign in or enter personal information. It should be categorized as Education. Thank you!

Facts about the site for IT review

  • Static website served over HTTPS only, from a single domain, with no third-party logins.
  • No accounts, chat, comments, uploads or any way for users to publish content to others.
  • No student data collected. Class lists stay in the teacher’s browser (see our Privacy Policy).
  • Content is written for classroom use and reviewed under our Editorial Guidelines.

Common school filters

  • Google Admin (Chromebooks): your admin can add classroomgames.fun to the URL allowlist in the Admin console under the Chrome browser URL blocking settings.
  • GoGuardian, Securly, Lightspeed, Linewize, Blocksi, iboss and ContentKeeper: these filters are managed by your district. Your IT admin can allow the domain in their dashboard or request an Education categorization from the vendor.
  • Fortinet FortiGuard: anyone can check the category and request a review with the FortiGuard web filter lookup.
  • Palo Alto Networks: anyone can check the category and request a change with Palo Alto URL filtering.
  • Cisco (Umbrella, Talos): categories can be checked and disputes submitted through the Talos reputation center.

Still blocked?

Email us at hello@classroomgames.fun with the name of your filter (if you know it) and we will help. We never need any student information.
