Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 September 2026

The short version: ClassroomGames has no accounts and never asks for student information. Class lists, scores and settings you type into a game are saved only in your own browser. We use Google Analytics only if you accept cookies.

This policy explains what information is processed when you use classroomgames.fun (“ClassroomGames”, “we”, “us”). If you have a question, email hello@classroomgames.fun.

1. Information we do not collect

  • We do not offer accounts, logins or sign-ups.
  • We do not ask for, collect or store students’ names, ages, photos or any other personal information.
  • There is no chat, no messaging and no way for users to publish content to other visitors.

2. Information stored in your browser

Some games let you type class lists, custom questions, team names or scores. This information is saved in your browser’s local storage on your own device so it is there next time you visit. It is never sent to us or anyone else. You can delete it at any time using the “Delete saved names” or “Clear list” buttons in the games, or by clearing your browser’s site data for classroomgames.fun. We also remember simple preferences, such as light or dark theme and whether sound is on.

3. Share links

When you copy a share link for a custom Quiz Board, the questions are stored inside the link itself (after the # sign). That part of a link is not sent to our server. Anyone you give the link to can see the questions, so do not put personal information in them.

4. Server logs

Like every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when a page is requested: IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. These logs are used only to keep the site secure and working, and are deleted automatically by the host after a limited period. We do not use them to identify individuals.

5. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which games are used, so we can improve them. Google Analytics runs in Consent Mode: analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in our cookie banner, and advertising features are turned off. Your choice is remembered in this browser. You can change it at any time: the “Delete all ClassroomGames data” button in section 2 removes the analytics cookies and your choice, and the banner asks again on your next visit. Google’s use of data is described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

6. Advertising

We do not currently show advertisements. Our pages include a Google AdSense verification tag that confirms we own the site; it does not load ads or set cookies. If we show ads in the future, they will come from Google AdSense, will never appear inside game screens or on pages for young children, and we will update this policy and ask for consent where the law requires it before any advertising cookies are used.

7. Children’s privacy

ClassroomGames is designed for teachers and other adults to run games for their groups. Students play together on a shared screen and do not need to type anything. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, including children under 13 in the United States (COPPA) and under 16 in the UK and EU. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email hello@classroomgames.fun and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the UK GDPR, EU GDPR or US state privacy laws), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information and to object to certain processing. Because we do not hold accounts or student data, most information is already under your control in your own browser. For anything else, email hello@classroomgames.fun and we will respond within 30 days.

9. Security

The site is served only over HTTPS and sends modern security headers. Because we do not collect personal information, there is very little we hold that could be exposed.

10. Changes to this policy

We will update this page before we change how we handle information, and change the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will also be noted on the home page.
